It definitely loses some of the charm, particulalry with children's books and turning the pages. But even with my Nook I have satisfied a squirrely toddler by showing her my children's books that I have. I have a foot in both worlds in that I really do love my Nook , but will never completely give up being "old school" and reading an actual book.
